- Are there any major defects in the property?
- Why is the property so cheap?
- Are there any drawbacks that may affect future saleability?
- Will I have major repairs to carry out, and how much will they cost?
- Am I paying too much for the property?
“All these questions and more can be answered by a qualified Chartered Surveyor, such as myself. I strongly recommend that you obtain independent professional advice before you commit to purchasing any property. Please feel free to contact me and I shall be pleased to discuss the options available to you.”
This is a limited report which you should not rely upon when purchasing a property. This inspection is purely to provide a bank or building society with a valuation to ensure that the property provides adequate security for a mortgage. We prepare valuations on all types of residential and commercial properties, for a variety of reasons, such as probate, inheritance, capital gains, council tax, remortgage, transfer of equity etc.
This survey is a more detailed report, which is more appropriate for houses in excess of 150 years old, unmodernised properties, or where there are obvious concerns about a building´s structural integrity. A building survey does not normally include a valuation.
Homebuyer Survey & Valuation
This is a detailed yet concise survey, designed to highlight urgent or significant matters that you should bring into the negotiation of the price before exchange of contracts. This survey report includes a Market Valuation and a Valuation for Insurance Purposes. The Homebuyer Survey is the most popular and cost-effective way of obtaining peace of mind before purchasing a property.
